Bill Sabo, Director of Economic Development, City of Shreveport
Bill Sabo is the Director of Economic Development for the City of Shreveport, where he leads initiatives focused on business growth, improving city services with technology, redevelopment, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and regulatory reform. He is a Certified Economic Developer, a Certified Entrepreneurial Development Professional, and Certified Project Manager, but unfortunately not a Certified Public Accountant.
He brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in economic development, technology, and operations, including leadership roles with three Fortune 200 companies, the New Orleans Business Alliance, and led the Obama White House TechHire initiative in New Orleans.
Sabo is a frequent speaker on economic development, downtown revitalization, workforce strategy, and public-private partnerships. He holds a BA from Tulane University, has completed executive programs at MIT and Stanford, and is a current participant in the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative.
