Tax Recognition & Research: Identifying Risks & Opportunities New staff will sharpen their ability to recognize tax implications for small and mid-sized clients. Using case studies, they’ll practice conducting basic tax research to support compliance and planning.
Auditing & Reviewing Accounts: Improving Accuracy & Effectiveness Your team will build expertise in auditing key balance sheet accounts, including A/R, A/P, and notes payable. Small-group case studies reinforce practical strategies for gathering and evaluating evidence efficiently.

Katy McClure, Instructor of Accounting, LSU of Alexandria (LSUA)
Katy McClure is a licensed CPA in the state of Louisiana and an Instructor of Accounting at Louisiana State University at Alexandria. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting while attending LSUA and went on to obtain her Master of Business Administration from LSUS. Katy spent the last seven years in Public Accounting gaining experience with a vast variety of clients. One of Katy’s favorite responsibilities in Public Accounting was teaching and training new staff accountants. She hopes to continue to grow her passion for teaching as a discussion leader and Instructor at LSUA.
